About Suction Strainer & Foot Valve
Fluidyne Suction Strainers cum Foot Valves or End-Line strainers cum valve are designed to be installed at the inlet end of suction line and installed at the bottom of suction tanks. Screen prevents debris from entering the line. Fluidyne Suction Strainers cum Foot Valves are usually located on the end of suction pipelines or suction hose that are pulling liquids from tanks, ponds, pits or below-ground tanks. Fluidyne Suction Strainers cum Foot Valves prevent larger solids and debris from entering the suction line so a finer particle strainer or second strainer like Y type, T-Type or Basket type Strainer would also be needed in the liquid system. Another version of the End-line Strainer is the Bottom Hole Skimmer.Foot valves are installed at the inlet of a suction line normally at the bottom of the storage tank as a prime holding valve so that the suction line remains filled for easy priming of pumps.
